knightfall, Op. 2

$30.00

This piece was written as part of a collaboration between the Composition and Organ Studios during my undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas. Taking the ancient power of the organ as a source of inspiration, I began writing the piece from the narrative of a knight. This knight, in my initial sktechings, was one who in battle was mortally wounded, and as a result, died of their wounds on the battlefied. As they lay dying, all memories of their life flash before them and they remisce on the honorful and beautiful life they led: what they experienced, who they loved, and who they have become. With their last breath, they reclaim all of who they are.
